Farm Operations Manager.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with one of the UK’s leading brassica growers. Due to continued expansion of the business, Riviera Produce require a Farm Operations Manager to oversee it’s farming productivity in Cornwall. Riviera Produce is a family business and supplies leading retailers with cauliflowers, broccoli, cabbages, kale and courgettes from it’s 7,000 acre farm.
The successful candidate will be dynamic, self motivated, able to lead the farming operation in growing quality produce for the supermarkets. Experience in field horticulture is an advantage but not essential. They must have experience with farm machinery, as well as techniques and automation to increase efficiencies. Computer literacy is essential with a knowledge of field recording software.
Excellent people management, leadership and communication skills are required, with the ability to build a team to achieve efficient, timely production working to strict deadlines. The successful candidate will be responsible for field preparation, planting, machinery and managing the farm team. You will be working alongside the head of farming to achieve quality produce, focusing on financial performance.

We are looking for a FACTS and BASIS qualified candidate with previous agriculture epxerience, with a desire to develop a career in agronomy. Experience in field horticulture preferred but not essential. Computer Literacy needed. You will need to be enthusiastic, dedicated agronomist to work in our agronomy team. You must be self-motivated and willing to work in a team.
You will be expected to walk crops, carrying pest and disease identification, advising on crop nutrition and weed control. Be confident in implementing and maintaining IPM programmes, spray plans and liaising with the farm team.

Deputy Packhouse Manager.
We now require a Deputy Packhouse Manager to help support our expanding site. You will need to be self-starter, enthusiastic, reliable and willing to work in a team. You must be highly organised, flexible and capable of managing teams of 40 people, able to achieve strict deadlines in production. Good communications skills are essential for this role as you will need to coach and train employees in order to achieve maximum levels of performance. We looking for someone who has good computer literacy skills and able to work under pressure. The ability to oversee packing machinery is an advantage.
